Neville Again!!

Everton captain Phil Neville believes Manchester United will beat Arsenal for the title this season.

Everton have lost to both clubs in the last week and Neville said: "I may be accused of bias but it has to be United.

"Arsenal are a fantastic team who look to have added that bit of toughness they needed. We got about them a bit on their previous visits here and you could see a weakness.

"It was clear they didn't relish facing teams like us and Bolton but that isn't the case any more. They look tougher and more resilient now.

"But United's squad is superior and much stronger. They have far more experience, too, and that is going to count when it matters in March and April. They have players to come back from injury and unlike Arsenal, they won't be losing any to the African Nations Cup."

Who really is Bruno Alves

Manchester United are considering a double raid on Porto.

The Daily Mail says highly-rated right-back Jose Bosingwa and centre-half Bruno Alves are targets for United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Can Deco be a Red-Devil?..

Manchester United are being linked with unsettled Barcelona ace Deco.
Deco has admitted he could leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season and the People says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be monitoring the situation.

Fergie is a big Deco fan and the player has made no secret of his soft spot for the Red Devils.

Berbatov going....going....gone?

The agent of Dimitar Berbatov has cast fresh doubt over the striker's future at Tottenham.

Berbatov's agent Emile Dantchev confirmed interest from one Premier League club - thought to be Manchester United - and two others abroad, warning: "Fans must understand that Dimitar is 27 next month and time is running out for him to play for a club that can match his ambition.

"I would like to stress this is not about money. This is about sporting ambition.

"Dimitar is perfectly happy with Juande Ramos and the way he is working. But after Tottenham's bad start, it is unlikely they'll have a chance to do something big this season.

"It is a long-term plan for them. Dimitar wants to fulfil his potential and win trophies now. He would definitely consider a move outside of England. That is not the issue.

"What matters is it is a club that matches his ambition and level and there are only five or six around Europe. Two clubs outside of England and one in the Premier League are interested in him."

Is Alan in His Senses?...

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley is backing Manchester United for the title.

Despite putting the brakes on United's title charge, Curbs is still backing them to pip Arsenal.

He said: "There's a long way to go but the games which may well decide the title are when they play each other.

"I still think United can cope with injuries or suspensions.

"And perhaps an indicator that there are no 'Gimme' games in the Premier League is how Derby only lost to Liverpool in the last minute.

"That is what makes the Premier League so special and why people know each game is fiercely contested."

Zakora has no Tottenham Regrets

Didier Zokora has no regrets choosing Tottenham over Arsenal.

For Zokora it could have been so different had he taken advantage of an offer to go to Arsenal two years ago, when it became clear that his French club St Etienne were ready to sell.

"Yes, there was a chance for me to go there but I preferred Tottenham," Zokora told the Sunday Mirror. "And no, I have no regrets about that decision.

"For me, to win honours for Tottenham is a huge challenge and I love that challenge. I am very optimistic about the future here.

"Basically the team is a young one. Players like Younes Kaboul have come in and they have had to adapt to English football. That is not easy because it is very different from the French League.

"Football here is much, much quicker. Every game is so hard and that's why this league is the best in the world. The attacking football is fantastic."

Benzema 4 THE GUNNERS

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is weighing up a bid for Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema.

The Observer says Wenger could offer £8 million for the France international as concerns persist over the fitness of Robin van Persie.

This would be one of the big Arsenal HEADLINERS as Wenger is known to rather train his players than spending boney on big names.

Adebayor wants A Permanent Deal

Manu Adebayor wants to play out his career at Arsenal.
Adebayor, 23, said: "I am a Gunner for life and I want to stay as that. I am enjoying London. The fans are great so why look elsewhere?

"I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal and many people in Africa support them so I also caught that fever.

"I had offers from other clubs but I chose Arsenal because it is a place I can make good progress."

THE GUNNERS ARE BACK

THE GUNNERS.....are back....Yes .....Arsenal FC is back to the top of the English Premiership as they demolished EVERTON FC 1-4 at the Ewood Park...Everton FC was much touted to beat the GUNNERS as they have had an outstsanding perfomance this season. 11 goals from Nigerian Star, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and good skills by Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta has seen the Merseyside outfit to 6th positoin on the table..Moreover, they are also enjoying a good UEFA CUP PERFOMANCE....

However, when the GUNNERS came visiting on Saturday, Tim Cahill's goal in the first half drew the first blood as the TOONS looked impressive both in attack and in defence...but as the second half resumed 2 successive goals by Eduardo Da Silva, a defensive error by Joseph Yobo which led to Emmanuel Adebayor's cool goal and a bomber-shot by Tomask Rosicky gave the GUNNERS A MUCH DESERVED WIN that took them to NO. 1 position on the table.

Therefore, we say......." ALL HAIL THE GUNNERS"

Last Weekend in the ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP, the table took another dynamic Position as Manchester United lost 2-1 to West Ham United FC..Manchester United FC needed a win in order to stay a point afloat of Arsenal FC.

A crucial header by Christiano Ronaldo in the first have gave the RED DEVILS their much-needed inspiration...However the HAMMERS fought back strongly as Carlton Cole and former Arsenal Star,Freddie Lungberg performed very well.....A penalty loss by Christiano Ronaldo proved to be the turning point for the HAMMERS.

An equalizer and later a header by Anton Ferdinand proved a well deserved for the HAMMERS as the win will keep them among the TOP 10 on the table and ensures that the RED-DEVILS remain second place behind Arsenal FC...

BEHOLD THE FIFA FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR

Ricardo Izecos Dos Santos Leite aka. Kaka has been named as the FIFA FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR 2007. The playmaker was chosen as the winner of the prestigious award on 17th December at the Zurich Opera House. He is the fifth Brazilian to win the award. The Ever-smiling AC MILAN playmaker from Brasilia is also the current EUROPEAN PLAYER OF THE YEAR...He has really been outstanding this year after helping his club to win the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TROPHY this year.....

MOST WANTED!!!

Manchester United FC is reported to have joind the race for the signature of Croatian midfield Star, Luka Modric. The playmaker is most sougtafter after beating England at Wembley to ensure that The Three Lions were effectively out of THE EURO 2008 FINALS at Austria and Switzerland..

The Playmaker is also wanted by Barcelona FC, Arsenal FC,Chesea Fc and German pair, Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich FC...Chelsea is reported to be the hottest favourites as they are preparing a 16 Million Pounds bid for the creative youngstar.

Shevchenkwo in AC MIlan talks

AC Milan want to bring Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko back to the club.

The Sun says Milan are to renew their efforts to take Shevchenko back from Chelsea with a £14million bid in January.

The Italian giants will try again to re-capture the striker they sold to Chelsea for £31m just 18 months ago.

Super-agent Ernesto Bronzetti is to fly in for talks with Blues officials.

Sir Alex Again!!

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson can't understand any manager wanting to work for Newcastle United.
Ferguson believes the intense pressure on Sam Allardyce after only six months in charge is ridiculous.

And he says if Toon get rid of Big Sam they would lose their best chance of success in decades.

Fergie said: "It seems to me every time Newcastle lose a game the manager is under pressure.

"How many managers have they had in my time at United? At least 10. I'm not so sure it's a job you want.

"I'd be astounded if they got rid of Sam. I am convinced that of all the managers they've had, he's capable of doing better than most of them."

Fergie added that beating his side 5-0 back in October 1996 did Newcastle no favours in the long run.

That incredible game at St James' Park seemed to set the standard for many of the Geordie faithful.

Fergie said: "The thing with Newcastle fans is they think they should be winning games 5-0.

"The worst thing that happened was beating us 5-0 because after that they expected to do it every time - and that was 11 years ago!

OH...Terry...oh....THE BLUES

Chelsea FC Captain, John Terry has broken three bones in his foot and could be out for up to six weeks. The England Skipper left the Emirates Stadium on Crutches following a challenge by Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue. This occured during the London Derby defeat by Arsenal FC.....

I am going on vacation and will not be returning until the 1st of January. I will try to get access to a computer and make updates, but realistically will probably not be able to do so. This site has been going strong for about a month, and I have enjoyed doing it. Let me know what you like about the site or would like to see in the future. Again, I will do my best to update but if you don't see updates soon, check back in the New Year!

What would you do with this Infant-terrible

In a London ''Meltdown" between Arsenal FC and Arch Rivals Chelsea FC in Emirates stadium, London,16.00 GMT, a Willem Gallas goal proved to be the decider in the game.

Chelsea played without injured striker Didier Drogba and defensive Midfielder, Micheal Essien. It made do with Ukrainian Andriy Shevchenko whose dazzling moves could not save the West London team..Moreover, Mikel Obi's mouth-watering passes could not make any results as Chelsea FC needed a win in order to put more pressure on the gunners.

Arsenal's Cecs Fabregas's moves were so dazzling tat he could afford to pick a quarrel with Chelsea skipper, John Terry. However, injury to him and Emmanuel Eboue prove to be dealy to the two sides....

The win ensures that Arsenal FC keeps the lead against Manchester United FC with a point.

In a showdown this weekend at THE ANFIELD, home ground of LIVERPOOL FC, Manchester United FC showed their prowess in the game as a Carlos Tervez super goal in the 45th minute proved to be the decider in the fixture. The mid-field of both sides was strong but the RED-DEVILS were more daring in the first half...Anderson was very composed and Owen Hargreaves was able to take out Steven Gerrard from the midfield

In the 2nd half...the REDS looked more inspiring as Ryan Babel and Fernando Torres fought to ensure a victory but the Red-devils defence was rock-solid. the win keeps the Red-devils a point behind the leaders Arsenal FC of London.
However, the two teams have succefully qualified for the knock-out stages of the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

Oh Harry....Oh Portsmouth

When Portsmouth FC hosted Tottenham Hotspurs in the English premiership at Fratton Park this weekend...It was aweful for Manager Harry Redknapp as his team recorded its first home loss of the season and Tottenham made its first Away win of the season.

A Sulley Muntari free-kick was saved by Spurs goalie, Paul Robinson..The Portsmouth midfield lacked creativity as Croatian star Nicole Krancjar made some dazzling moves but could not get the ball to Benjani Nwanriwari upfront..incidentally, the Team was mourning the demise of Nwankwo Kanu's father at Arochukwu, Nigeria. Pedro Mendes was yellow-carded for a rough tackle on Ivorian Zakora.....

The Hotspurs looked more hungry as Bulgarian Berbatov made saveral moves in the Portsmouth defence. An Aaron Lennon cross in about the 80th minute resulted in a superb Berbatov touch which resulted in the goal ....This means that Portsmouth FC's hopes of breaking into the big four has been dashed.

However, the Spurs continue thier sensational run this season after moving out of the relagation zone.
As the CAF African Nations Cup approaches in January, Portsmouth will be worst hit as it will be losing 6 members of its first team to the Afican Continental Showpiece.

manchester United riding high in Europe

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes his squad is capable of success in Europe this season.
He said: "This team is ready for the big challenge of doing well in Europe this season and we have to believe we can go all the way.
"You always need a little bit of luck in the cups but this pool of players can develop into something special.
"I'm delighted with the way our campaign is going. We added to the squad with Owen Hargreaves, Tevez, Nani and Anderson and they have all made a real impact.
"They are all young lads who bring a real energy to the place.
"I have been quoted as saying this is the strongest squad I have ever had and I stand by that statement.
"Things are going well in the league and we qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League with ease."
Manchester United qalified for the knock-out stages of the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE with 16 points after winning their first 5 matches and drawing AS ROMA FC at Stadio Olympico,Rome. The Red Devils will be facing Schalke 04 in the round of 16.

Are The Gunner.......GONNERS

ON THE 9TH OF DECEMBER,2007...ARSENAL fc lost 1-2 to Middlesborough FC in a game that saw the gunners lose 3 points to help their arch rivals Manchester united slip up...1 point behind them...the gunners could not do much against Middlesborough as they scored a late consolation goal towards the end of the game.....obviously ..Mr. Wenger is not happy with this result....as he would be engaging London rivals Chelsea in a gruelling derby this weekend...Clearly, Mr.Wenger is not happy as a loss or draw against the BLUES will ensure that Manchester united takes over the lead..

The Reds ARE BACK

lIVERPOOL FC is back for contention in the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE after stamping 4 unreplied goals on Marseille Football Club in Stadio Veledrome, Marseile. The Reds needed a win to qualify for the Knock-out stages as they 7 points a piece with the french outfit. A draw would have ensured that marseille qualified agaist tham based on FIFA's head to head rule. The group was still open to the other 3 clubs in the team as Besiktas FC also needed a win to qualify based on thier superb win against Marseille FC on Match Day 5 and FC Porto needed a draw to qualify..With this win,the on-going tension between Rafa Benitez and the American owners of the club should reduce and the Reds have absolute confidence for the cracker against Manchester United this weekend.

Can Paul Jewell wield the magic stick for Derby County FC

Saturday, 8th december,2007 was really a "shower-time'' for new Derby County FC coach Paul Jewell as his quest to redeem the team from the relagation waters continued at Old-trafford.The match had kicked off at 3.00 G.M.T and the Red-devils won the match 4-1 despite the heavy rains courtesy of Ryan Giggs 100th goal, Carlos Tervez's two goals and Christiano Ronaldo's brace from the penalty spot towards the end of the match. The win takes Manchester United FC 1 point behind the leaders Arsenal FC. Its very evident that Paul Jewell has to employ some other means to replicate the magic that he performed for Wigan Athletic on the last match day of last season in order to save relegation threatened Derby County FC. He was hired by the Derby County FC recently in order to save the club from its poor performance this season, its only outstanding win coming against Newcastle united.

Ruud's golden goal

Real Madrid CF forward Ruud van Nistelrooy holds his own place in UEFA Champions League history. The 12 goals he scored for Manchester United FC in 2002/03 remain the record for most goals in a single campaign and he is one of only five players to have struck four times in a match in the élite tournament. Indeed, his 57 goals in the European Champion Clubs' Cup leave Van Nistelrooy only one short of the competition's all-time leading scorer, Raúl González, and five off Gerd Müller's mark in all UEFA club competitions. The 31-year-old spoke about his goals and his desire to win the UEFA Champions League with uefa.com.
