FA CUP FINAL PRE-MATCH

Chelsea FC drew Everton FC last night in an entertaining match that reminded many of the forth-coming FA-CUP FINAL ON May 27th,2009.The match was well-balanced as Everton FC successfully defended against the BLUES rampaging attack.

Joseph Yobo,Joleon Lescott and the other TOON defenders were awesome as they did well to contain Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda and Frank Lampard's bid to improve their position in the League.

Everton FC is currently 6th in the table and the draw certainly helped to maintain this positon which will guarantee a place in the UEFA CUP next season.

The FA CUP FINAL at WEMBLEY STADIUM on May 27th promises to be very entertaining and mouth-watering as it will feature Nigerian players such as Joseph Yobo,Mikel Obi, Victor Anichebe and Yakubu Aiyegbeni. It is also noted that a Nigerian,Daniel Amokachi had featured for Everton FC in their last FA CUP FINAL.

ARSHAVIN:ARSENAL FC HERO

Liverpool FC's hopes for winning the 2008/2009 Premiership title was dampened by Andrey Arshavin's four goals which forced the Reds to conclude the game with a draw in a highly entertaining game that produced 8 goals.

Arsenal FC's defence had looked very questionable as Yossi Benayoun and Fernando Torres provided the much-needed boost for Liverpool FC. Liverpool FC needed a win in order to maintain the pressure on Manchester United FC. However, some defensive errors and counter-attacks by Cesc Fabregas and Andrey Arshavin led to 4 goals from Andrey Arshavin.

However,The Reds made up when Fernando Torres scored an equalizer in order to level the game at 4-4. This means that Manchester United FC has 3 points ahead of the Reds as they had beaten Portsmouth FC at Old-Trafford on wednesday night.

ARSENAL FC WEEK

Arsenal FC may have secured their spot in the Semi-finals of the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE against Villareal FC of Spain but their match fixtures for the next one and a half week really signifies that they hold the key to who wins the 2008/2009 Premiership Title.

The Gunners play Chelsea FC today in the Semi-Finals of the English FA Cup.

They play Liverpool FC in a Premier-league game on Tuesday 21st April.

They play Manchester United in a Premier-league fixture on Saturday 25th April.

They play Manchester United in a UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE fixture on 29th April.

Thus, its very clear that either Manchester United FC or Liverpool may win the title depending on their result with the Gunners.The Gunners will also play Tottenham FC.

As the race for the 2008/2009 English Premiership Title draws to an end, Chelsea FC is faced with the dilemma of once-again going to the market in search for Guus Hiddink's replacement..The Dutchman has proved his worth at Stamford Bridge as he has successfully guided the Blues to the Semi-final of the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE and has ensured that the Blues maintain their position in the top 4 of the English Premiership.

However, he has severally stated that he is going to leave at the end of the season so that he can continue with his role with the Russian National team as Head Coach.
The possible targets for the job are Frank Rikjard and Carlo Ancellotti of AC Milan FC. Ancellotti had come under fire at AC Milan over the exit of the Italians from the UEFA CUP.Thus, Rikyard may be seen as a possible choice for the Blues at the ed of the season.

CHRISTIANO RONALDO

Christiano Ronaldo has been adjudged as being better than Loinel Messi of Barcelona FC by no other person than Messi's barca team-mate Thierry Henry. The Russian star believes that Manchester United Fc cannot be comfirtable or secure at the top of the table as they have lost form and had struggled to win thier last game against Sunderland FC. He also asserted that Hiddink who also doubles as the Russian Coach is now recognised by England as a special manager.

However, Ashavin is going to come up against Hiddink and Chelsea FC in the Semi-Final
of the FA Cup on Saturday which would be a unique chance for him to prove his mettle against his National team Coach.
