FA CUP FINAL



Everton FC will take on Chelsea FC in the FA Cup Final on Saturday, 30th May, 2009. It will be Guus Hiddink’s last game with the BLUES. He had guided Chelsea to a respectable 3rd place position in the 2008/2009 English Premiership.

Everton FC made a respectable 5th position under the leadership of David Moyes who has led the club to the first seven positions in the last couple of years and had qualified for UEFA CUP football. Also, Everton FC had even qualified for the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE in 2006 in place of Liverpool FC but for the fact that Liverpool had qualified for the competition by winning the TROPHY that year.

Everton FC qualified for the FA final by beating Manchester United FC in penalty while Chelsea FC beat Arsenal FC in the Semi-finals at Wembley Stadium.
Guus Hiddink’s first official game for the Blues was against Aston Villa FC, he will be going back to head the Russian national team next month.
