The FA has deducted 9 points from Portsmouth FC as it had earlier warned the South-Coast club. Portsmouth FC had since gone into administration after it had been enmeshed in a series of financial mess which included inability to pay player transfer fees owed other premier clubs and inability to pay players’ salary for some time.
Portsmouth FC may have a new owner as Property Tycoon Rob Lloyd is presently trying to secure a conclusive arrangement with club administrator Andrew Andronikou about a possible 30 million pound takeover. Portsmouth had announced that about it would sack about 85 employees in a bid to cut operating costs at the club.
