Manchester United’s hopes of winning its 3rd UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE last evening against Barcelona FC in Rome. Also, Manchester United FC could be the first club to win the TROPHY consecutively since AC MILAN FC in 1990.
Manchester United is also one of the clubs that had beaten Barcelona in the last two years, the other being Liverpool FC.
Barcelona FC became the first Spanish club to do the TREBLE,i.e, winning the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, LA LIGA TITLE and COPA DEL REY in a year.
Manchester United is the other club to do the first ever treble in 1999.
Manchester United had already won its 18th English Premiership Title, thereby equaling Liverpool’s record of 18 titles.
