ALONSO'S FUTURE

Xabi Alonso is on the verge of joining Real Madrid FC as new Real President Florentino Perez is looking forward to bolster the team ahead of the new season. Real Madrid FC has already captured the services of Kaka from AC Milan FC for the sum of 56 million pounds. The Madrid outfit had competed with Chelsea FC for the services of Kaka and was able to secure his services ahead of the West London club.

Alonso had been wanted by Arsene Wenger during last summer transfer season but the deal stalled due to the Gunners inability to table a good bid for the Spaniard. However, Cesc Fabregas has always pointed out that he will love to see his fellow countryman join him at the Emirates Stadium.

Alonso has been very instrumental to Liverpool FC in recent years both in the Premiership and in the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. He is a very good mid-fielder that always supports Steven Gerrrard and he was also key to the triumph of Spain at the EURO 2008 Finals last year.
