GARY MEGSON
Gary John Megson born 2 May 1959 in Manchester is an English former football player and the former manager of Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
He has previously managed Norwich City(1995-96), Blackpool(1996-97), Stockport County(1997-99), Stoke City(1999), West Bromwich Albion(2000-2004), Nottingham Forest(2005-2006), Leicester City(2007) and Bolton(2007-2009). His biggest successes so far came at West Bromwich Albion, where he won promotion to the Premier League in 2002 and again in 2004. As a player, he has played for teams such as Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Norwich City, Everton, Lincoln City,etc scoring a total of 41 goals in about 499 appearances.
He won the Premier League Manager of the Month Award, November (2008) for beating Manchester United FC at Old-Trafford, a feat that had not been achieved for the past 30 years. Megson was able to pick 11 points from his last 5 games of the season in order to survive relegation. Bolton was also able to make the last 16 of the UEFA CUP by beating Atletico Madrid FC in a 1-0 aggregate.
