Guangzhou, November 25 - The special report team themed "Nationwide Support for Guangzhou Asian Games" were on a tour to interview the Water Safety Command Centre of Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration, Guangzhou South Railway Station and Central and Southern Regional Administration of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on Wednesday. Reporters from municipal, provincial and national media attended the event.

Water is a significant factor featuring the 16th Asian Games. To ensure the safety of water traffic, Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration establishes a total of 14 water safety control points in the host city Guangzhou as well as co-host cities Shanwei, Foshan and Dongguan. In addition,a Water Traffic Control and Emergency Command Centre is set up to guarantee that emergency forces can reach the site within 15 minutes.

To ensure the safety of railway transportation, Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation strengthens security measures at each station and train, setting up five "security check lines".

Also, the CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration does its best for the safety of air traffic during the Games. Starting from October 25 till November 23, Guangzhou BaiyunInternational Airport ensured the flight arrivals of 22,223 passengers and departures of 9,134 involved in the Asian Games, including 61 charter flights and 103 VIP flights.
The next rush hour for air traffic is expected to appear around the Closing Ceremony of the Asian Games from November 26-29. All civil aviation units have been fully prepared for it.
