EVERTON FC'S SUCCESS
Everton FC has achieved the undeniable status of a top 6 club in the English Premiership in recent years. The club had been able to compete well in the Premiership last season despite injury to its players such as Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Mikel Arteta.
When these players had been injured, there had been fears in some quarters that Everton FC would not be able to make it in the top flight, Coach David Moyes had brought in mercurial striker Jo from Manchester City FC who had earlier signed from CSKA Moscow FC and injury prone Louis Saha from Manchester United FC.
Jo proved to be a hugh success along-side Tim Cahill, Felliani, Saha, etc and the Tofees ended the season in 5th position and another opportunity to compete in Europe next season. Also, Louis Saha made history when he scored the fastest goal in FA-CUP FINAL in the 25th minute against Chelsea FC on 30th May, 2009.
Everton defenders Joseph Yobo, Joleon Lescott and Jagielka have all been very outstanding during the last season
David Moyes had been subject to speculations about a move to Celtic FC of Scotland as some people believed that he does not have enough depth to compete against the big-four in the Premiership, thus he should consider a move to the Scottish club.
However, David Moyes has committed his future to the Merseyside club and it is believed and expected that he will continue to lead the club to greater heights.
