Manchester City is currently 2nd on the English football league table... and show no signs of slowing down at the moment. This fact has recently been voiced by Manchester United’s right –full back Gary Neville who said that United’s neighbour’s are serious contenders for the Premier league titke this season.
Last season, Mr. Roberto Mancini had claimed that the major objective of his club was to win the league title or qualify for the lucrative UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. However, they finished 5th behind Tottenham Hotspurs who beat them in a Premier-league fixture to grab the 4th spot.
Manchester City had gone through a hugh spending spree last season which continued this season with the likes of Yaya Toure, David Silva, Patrick Viera and Mario Balotelli.Therefore, with these kind of quality players at their disposal, it is really hoped that Shiek Mansour’s men will live up to the tasks and get at least one silverware trophy this season.
