The midfield Dutch maestro who signed for the Spurs from CF Real Madrid during the 2010 summer transfer market is capable of holding down the ball in mid-field and passing the ball to his teammates very effectively. When Tottenham FC hosted Aston Villa FC in an English soccer fixture on 02/10/2010, Aston Villa had taken the lead thanks to Emile Heskey’s effort but the Spurs fought back to gain to control of the game.
The Tottenham midfielders Rafael Van der Vart, Luca Modric were very visible in the game and the effort paid off when Van der Vart scored twice to give Tottenham Hotspurs a 2-1 victory.
